LANDHOLDER EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
What is the purpose of this Expression of Interest?
The RAPAD Power Grid project wants to ensure the community, particularly landowners and First Nations Custodians, understand the opportunities this project can offer, and if people want to get involved by hosting renewable energy, there is a framework to discuss this possibility.
This Expression of Interest (EOI) is offered to landholders across Central West Queensland so, if they wish to, they can register an interest in relation to hosting development of renewable energy sources, including wind and solar, on their landholdings.
This EOI process aims to ensure a coordinated and efficient approach to new investment in the region with the objective of delivering strong economic, social and environmental benefits to the central west, and all of Queensland.
A separate process of direct engagement will be undertaken with First Nations Custodians as a central element of broad community engagement, economic development strategy, and delivery of the RAPAD Power Grid project.
Separately, RAPAD Power Grid MoU partners, Barcaldine Regional Council, RAPAD and VisIR, will continue to engage directly with landowners, Custodians, and the community in relation to other Project related opportunities and establishing the desired transmission line corridor which requires an easement approximately 200 metres wide.
Why submit an Expression of Interest?
The key objectives of the RAPAD Power Grid landholder EOI are to:
Provide interested landholders further information about renewable energy development opportunities and co-existence on their existing enterprises;
Assist RAPAD Power Grid’s planning and landholder engagement, with updates provided to those who register; and
Coordinate engagement with prospective renewable energy project developers.
RAPAD Power Grid also refers registered landholders to Queensland Renewable Energy Landholder Toolkit developed by the Queensland Farmers’ Federation with the support of the Queensland Government.

Participation in this EOI is voluntary and does not create any obligation on you. None of your personal information that you provide to RAPAD Power Grid will be made public.
We encourage you to participate in this EOI if you are interested to engage in discussions with RAPAD Power Grid or other renewable energy businesses about the opportunities for you and your landholdings.
